B unit

The B unit was provided as a completely empty rack, with universal drillings to accept various arrangements of junctions. These were in the form of  single, horizontal, mounting plates (mountings F151/20AH). The equipment was installed from the bottom of the rack upwards. If common multi-metering quipment were required (diagram AT3944), these were mounted on the first B unit, and were mounted in normal 2000 type jack in relay sets, there being mounted on a speical channel-type shelf mounted at the bottom of the rack, using drillings that are supplied for that purpose.

Junction relay set

The photo below is of the bottom section of one of the B Units in Egmont Village UAX (in New Zealand). The lower relay sets are revertive ring circuits for the 2 party lines. In fact, before the size was reduced for emailing, you could easily read the label on the middle circuit. It says "Rev Ring No 1" and the drawing number "GBW  13770" The strip mounted relay sets are of course junction relay sets.
